Some experiences don’t stay in the past. They get stored in a way that keeps firing in your body, your reactions, the situations that throw you back into an old feeling before you’ve had time to think. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured method for helping the brain reprocess those experiences so they lose their grip.
I offer EMDR both as a standalone focus and as part of ongoing individual therapy. I don’t rush into reprocessing. We build stability and trust first, then assess readiness, and only then move through the structured EMDR phases at your pace, with care and containment the whole way.
